Our Coffee
Our Story

At Kona Songbird Farm, we take great pride in hand-selecting only the finest coffee cherries, ensuring that each one meets our high standards for quality. Our team carefully inspects every cherry for signs of ripeness, harvesting only those that are at their peak of sweetness.

With an unwavering commitment to quality, we remove cherries affected by pests or plant diseases, guaranteeing a harvest that is as clean and wholesome as the land it comes from. This dedication to detail results in a pure, rich Kona coffee that reflects the essence of our farm’s natural beauty and care.

In 2021, the Faulkner family purchased a 35-acre overgrown plot of land within the mountainside of Hōlualoa, Hawaii. With the help of family and friends, we began untangling the vines on our trees, pruning the monkey pod that gives shade to our coffee trees, cutting back 10-foot tall elephant grass, and finally stumping our coffee trees to reset their growth. A combination of efforts gave us 4 acres of thriving trees that produce deep red coffee cherries. We planted hundreds of new seedlings that took root to produce coffee cherries for years. With a strong foundation set, organic maintenance began with tentative management of invasive species, reintroducing native species and the expansion of managed land for life to thrive efficiently. As we restore and enrich our land, we aim to spread the message of longevity through sustainable efforts to the world.

Stone Faulkner/ Founder, CEO

While pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, I gained valuable hands-on experience in crop production through summer work on farms across the United States. My family's acquisition of land in Holualoa marked the beginning of a farming journey, which involved clearing invasive species and cultivating coffee trees. This experience has deepened my appreciation for Hawaiian ecosystems and the importance of preserving local cultural values. I am committed to regenerating our environment and inspiring future generations to adopt sustainable practices that address pressing environmental challenges. I am excited to continue contributing to a more sustainable and harmonious future for both people and the planet.

Jack Ramsey/ Co-Founder

My deep love for the outdoors fuels my appreciation for nature's purest offerings. When Stone shared his vision for a coffee farm, I saw an opportunity to create something meaningful, rooted in respect for the land. After graduating from culinary school, I honed my skills over the past four years in Boulder as a line cook and pastry cook, deepening my understanding of how food—and coffee—nourish both body and soul. Inspired by childhood memories of cooking with my mother, I believe in crafting with care and authenticity. My passion for coffee was ignited by my first sip, but it was Kona Coffee that truly captured my heart. Being hands-on with our product, and watching it evolve from seed to cup, gives me a fulfillment I’m eager to share with our customers. After witnessing the farm's remarkable transformation from 2021 to my move in 2024, I am excited to deliver coffee that honors both the land and the people who enjoy it.
